That time of year when watch films on normal tele, and it's been underwater!
Hunter Killer the other night. I had a recollection of playing a game of the same name as a child - on the spectrum (one for the kids!) - so gave it a watch. Then Crimson Tide.
Was reflecting afterwards how 4 or 5 years ago the 'cold war' tensions may have felt well in the past - perhaps not so much now.

Watched a fair portion of 1974 Murder on Orient Express yesterday, Albert Finney as HP.
I was gobsmacked at the absolute plethora of "A list Film Stars".
Staggering.
Surely impossible today?

The new HP films also star an array of top level cast. The new Murder on the Orient express is on TV tonight with Kenneth Brannagh as HP, that film has the likes of Johnny Depp, Judi Dench and a few more in it.

Makes BBC's "Death in Paradise" and multiple spin offs look pale.

I suspect the budgets are a smidge different

The Kenneth Branagh remakes are very comparable, and excellent imo

I watched The Thursday Murder Club with my DIL

very light hearted murder mystery.

Good for many smiles.

I started to watch the Girl in Cabin 10 and will finish it at some time. Everybody else had gone to bed and just enough time to watch the footie before doing so myself.

Not sure if this should be in Films or TV series but am a few parts through series 1 of The Night Manager (Prime).
Very promising so far.

Watched Madam Webb last night with the kids as it was their choice. Think it’s meant to fit into the Spiderverse/Venom genre from Sony, terrible film and poorly actors for such a big budget not wonder it flopped and they’ve binned off the sequel.

That being said 2hrs watching Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney is not a fully wasted evening

Watched Madam Webb last night with the kids as it was their choice. Think it’s meant to fit into the Spiderverse/Venom genre from Sony, terrible film and poorly actors for such a big budget not wonder it flopped and they’ve binned off the sequel.

We went to see The housemaid ft Sydney Sweeney.
Big fan of her work.
