That time of year when watch films on normal tele, and it's been underwater!
Hunter Killer the other night. I had a recollection of playing a game of the same name as a child - on the spectrum (one for the kids!) - so gave it a watch. Then Crimson Tide.
Was reflecting afterwards how 4 or 5 years ago the 'cold war' tensions may have felt well in the past - perhaps not so much now.

Watched a fair portion of 1974 Murder on Orient Express yesterday, Albert Finney as HP.
I was gobsmacked at the absolute plethora of "A list Film Stars".
Staggering.
Surely impossible today?

The new HP films also star an array of top level cast. The new Murder on the Orient express is on TV tonight with Kenneth Brannagh as HP, that film has the likes of Johnny Depp, Judi Dench and a few more in it.

Makes BBC's "Death in Paradise" and multiple spin offs look pale.

I suspect the budgets are a smidge different

The Kenneth Branagh remakes are very comparable, and excellent imo
