Watched The Equaliser 3
Hugely enjoyable as we're 1 & 2

Watched fast X with the Mrs as she is a fan (I'm not) I wasn't disappointed, it was as rubbish as all the rest.

Next on the to watch list is
The new Hunger Games & Batman films.

Watched both Killers of the Flower Moon and Oppenheimer recently and slightly underwhelmed by both. I love long films where nothing happens too. Performances were good, nothing to really criticise about the films they just both left me feeling it was 6 hours I could have better spent.

I watched Oppenheimer.
I was underwhelmed by it.
The acting was great, but I was frustrated how they showed little or nothing of any of the theory, mathematical calculations & testing of the bomb.
The political Witch hunt that followed was too long & drawn out.
It was important to show it, because it was factual, but they dwelled on it for too long.

A documentary I saw on the subject previously was much more informative & enjoyable.

Anyone seen Argyle yet? Not a fly on the wall documentary about Plymouth incidentally 😄. It's the Kingsman people so I really fancy it but reviews have not been kind. Is that just a reviewer thing or is it bad?

I only heard about it last week when John Cena was at an interview and showed a clip. Put it on my watch list of ‘once streaming is a available’.

Hopefully we get around watching Wonka tonight.

Watched a couple of films at the weekend:

The Creator, I really enjoyed it and liked the style of the film. Brave move to portray the Americans as the intolerant bad guys who would start a war to cover up a tragic mistake.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This one surprised me as I was not expecting much but I am a fan of the source material so gave it a try. Actually one of the best animated films I have seen in a while. OK not up there wit the Spiderverse films but pretty decent none the less.

Saw it at the weekend - we both enjoyed it (although for the wife, I think it was the cat that she liked the most). It's a bit mad & over the top - I assumed that it was a James Bond type film but there was a lot more going on & as we had avoided any spoilers, didn't see the twist, so were pleasantly surprised.
The reviews that I have seen are all over the place though. However, if you have seen the trailers, don't go expecting to see a lot of Cena, Cavill or Dua Lipa in the film - you will see what I mean if you go to see it.

I get he’s seen as a bit of a Hollywood heartthrob but I just don’t understand it with Henry Cavill; his head is so oddly square shaped, it’s like he was designed in Minecraft.

Another slow film alert. Watched Anatomy of a Fall at the weekend and enjoyed it as there's a good bit of development. Plus a courtroom/trial film always gets to some sort of conclusion one way or another so it's worth a watch.

Was looking forward to Argylle but folk I know "in the industry" say it absolutely honks so I'll probably only watch it as a case study.

Kermode liked it so can’t be that bad ;)
