Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo hits out at the 'hypocrisy' of those who criticised the team following Hockenheim and insists: 'The interests of the team come before the individual'

What....Eh.....is it me. The interest of Alonso comes before the team. If he said "the interest of the team is to win the championship and Massa needs to understand that" then fine.

'The interests of the team come before the individual'

What a load of crap.

If it was the interests of the team that mattered most, i.e constructors points, it would have made no difference what order the drivers finished in.

Ferrari are a disgrace and should be dealt with when bought before the disciplinary council as lets be honest, its not like they dont have history is it.

I suppose it would be better for the team for Gonzo to win as he is higher up the table than Massa, but.....a disgrace to break the rules and then try and deny it and pretend that Massa hadn't let him pass.
Massa must have been seething at the post race interview.

It is time they got rid of this rule. It is un-enforceable, and daft. There have always been team orders in F1, and always will be. Yes Ferrari have cheated under the current rules, so throw the book at them, and then change the rule. It is a team sport, and in their team, they should be allowed to choose who wins.

Just a thought....
Are Ferrari staff allowed to bet on who wins the race

I feel sorry for the man on the street who bet on Massa to win

By the look on Massa's face on Sunday, I don't think he would have been going hoppity skip into work on Monday, Do you?

There will be resentment for the rest of the season until he signs for another team.

That is how to de-motivate someone

I thought that he was absolutely brilliant.

He was totally gutted and didn't look too far away from tears at times but kept the "team line" and didn't say a word out of place. It was what he didn't say in response to the questions that was the most telling.

It sums up F1.

If they were serious about getting rid of 'team orders', surely the simplest way is to get rid of the Pit - Car radio links ? And pit stops........

Its all soooooooooo boring.........
