Favourite Movie?

A few more 70s classics. Not quite in the same league as DDD though ;-).

Godfather
Godfather II
The Sting
French Connection
Dog Day Afternoon
Deer Hunter
Annie Hall
Alien
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Dirty Harry

The Departed

Surprised it's not been mentioned already, a Scorcesse classic and one of, if not his best.

So many class films from this guy

Taxi Driver
Goodfellas
Casino
Cape Fear
Gangs of New York

Scorsese's version of ''The Departed'' was awful. The original Hong Kong version was miles better.

Watched that again last night, mainly for the performance of Christoph Waltz, the opening chapter being my favourite scenes. Discovered he was in An Ordinary Decent Criminal, and have been looking for it everywhere.
Good choices so far!
For me it would be inglorious basterds - Christopher waltz is mesmerising.
Closely followed by the raid :) wasn't entirely ready for that but wow!
Bit older and it'd have to be anchorman.
Not sure what these choices say about me.......

i'm a bit of a film fanatic and have several favourites such as :
One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest
Dirty Harry
Pulp Fiction
Rise of the Footsoldier
The Business
Gangster No 1
Deerhunter
Casino
Once Upon a Time in America
Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. but if I'm only allowed one and a gun at my head,it would have to be Cool Hand Luke, which I watched again yesterday afternoon.

It's hard to pick between:-

Zulu
Life of Brian
Blues brothers

At one point it was Shawshank redemption, but since then every premiership footballer has picked it since.

The Shawshank is an interesting one, yes it is a very very good film. It is still in not the best film ever. People still seem to pick it religiously though. Always perplexes me
