Loads of great memories. Some of the forum members taking the mickey out of Alan Hansen at Hillside, any event with RickG, some of the very early H4H heroes, including playing with Shiels and Finch. Too many over the years to narrow it to a specific. Also a lot of the GM forum opportunities that also seem rarer these days (although I can understand why).

Meeting Bdill93 for the first time when he came to play in an AmAm at my club and he won a prize for the straightest drive, getting it on the white line in the middle of the 13th fairway.
He had come all the way from Worcester - could have been the longest "drive".
Together with GG26 and Full_Throttle we took 3rd place prize as well.

Well there have been some “interesting” threads - a few gotches etc
But it’s mainly the people you meet and the friends you make
H4H days - the first one where the boys from NE joined in
The trips up there with Rick and Co
The nights out inbetween the Sunningdale trips
For me the best time was the very first trip to Deal and the night in the Kings Head - it’s a shame as I think only @Blue in Munich from that night is still on the forum
But it’s mainly the people you meet and the friends you make

Only spoilt by the fact that they came back.
That was epic, especially the curry night the night before. @Kraxx68 going to the gents in the curry house only to come out of the gents to find the table empty apart from the bill. Forumites hidden around the restaurant and outside stuck to the window. His “OMG” face when he picked up the bill…
The following year in the para’s pub with Fish, followed by another monster curry - wow!
A Cooden trip when Nasher lost 11 million golf balls…
A couple of Woodhall trips - the look on Smiffy’s face when he couldn’t light his cigarette when there was water dripping off the end of it.

I know Delc from the HDID forum meets when they were a thing. It was also one of those meets where I first met and played with Rick G. Delc still posts on FB. He is big into gliding and is still playing golf. Unfortunately his partner passed away last year.Making the hole bigger
