Fairway Wood - Big FAT face

I agree while heatedly gents, BUT if I can get something with a big head to assist in the meantime, that would be grand. I have some lessons booked early march so can make a point of working on fairway woods, but having one in my bag would be a start! Ping G5 is currently the favourite, found a nice one on ebay with a few days left. Still open to recommendations though

Have a look at the KZG GF-2, ive just ordered one myself. i believe its been replaced so its an older model but does have a deeper face than its replacement. and looks pretty old school too, but performance wise i couldnt knock it.

Dont you find with a big deep face anf head they are hard to hit off the deck - I keep on going back to the 906f4 just because its so pleasing to the eye and if you hit it well its awesome , its not as forgiving as some but get it right and its gorgeous - ive also got a 909f3 3 wood with a deepface -- its no-where near as easy to hit of the deck but way better off the tee.
In general thelower profile heads are easier to hit off the fairway

909 was never easy to hit off a fairway anyway - not the most forgiving of clubs.

The Launcher 2009 version is as good as it gets. I had a 17 degree 3 wood - 3 wood length shaft so not technically a 4 wood and I used to knock it out there past many a driver. And it was easy off the fairway as well - that little extra loft gained a bit of carry and you still got decent roll-out.
The Gold Fujikura shaft taht comes on it as standard has a slightly soft tip and it really gets the ball out there. The Red shaft is a bit stiffer all round and does fly the ball lower.
Cheap as chips on eBay now - well worth searching out.
