FA cup

Law of averages says a trophy must come Arsenals way at some stage. I think they will win this one and watch all the gooners lord it up and marvel and Wengers success, Murph excluded as he understands the problems but he will I expect be over the moon.

Over the moon? No. Relieved? Yes. Happy? No. Think it's all roses? No.

There's bigger problems than just scraping through a semi final imo.

The board have a massive decision to make come the end of season.

So if Arsenal win the FA Cup but fail to reach CL will Wenger stay ? Or should I say "Should he stay" ?

I'm on record on here as saying 'thanks' but time to go. I don't care if we win, I don't care if we are 4th/5th. It's ground hog day, and time to change. Thanks for the memories, the trophies, the invincibles, the ground, the facilities, the bank balance, the fun times. But time to go. There are newer managers more in touch with the game.
Wenger has never beaten a mourinho lead team. Ever. Why? Because he is tactically inept.

Any of simeone, de boer, Martinez, coppi, Klopp, pochettino, laudrup, could take over tomorrow, and arsenal would be no worse off. Probably better off within 6 months.

Not that I really care as we went out ages ago, but if I was Uwe Rosler I would be going mad at the ref, both of Wigans saved pens should have been re taken, Fabianski was a mile off his line!

Well, firstly I'd be questioning as to why I allowed someone who has hardly played for a year to take the first penalty then I'd be asking my 'keeper what was the point of his pre-penalty 'antics'...

Got a lot of respect for Mr Rosler [did some great work at Brentford] but his shoot out 'tactics' were seriously flawed...

I don't think it was valid this is a thread about the FA cup not the future of Arsene Wenger, I am not sure what part you took as an insult.

And my question about Wenger was about winning the FA Cup

Going around calling people "troll boy" is uncalled for.

It was a valid question and was answer by other Arsenal fans - im sorry if the question is too hard for you.

It's a valid question. But for the AW thread rather than this one. Especially as your 1st post in this thread (12) was entirely about AW! So the 'troll-boy' description was valid, in this case, too imo.

To me, that game demonstrated the difference between a very good PL side and a Very good Champ side. The scrappier Champ side can upset the smoother PL guys if they keep their cool - and don't get into Yellow Card trouble. If I want to watch quality football, I'll tend to watch PL; if i want to watch a ding-dong battle, the Champ. I'll be watching PL this afternoon!

Just to highlight the post my post was in response too

Hence why i asked my question as opposed to trolling !

The question as answered in the Arsene Wenger thread many times is Wenger is there for as long as he wants to be there. The board don't have a difficult decision to make the contract is on the table it is Arsene has not yet signed it as he is unsure that he is still the right man. And to that affect he has turned down a pay rise of 1.2 mil to remain on the same terms.

So do you think that if you win the FA Cup - the people who have doubts about Wenger will relax a bit ?

What is your priority - winning the FA Cup or 4th

Haters gonna hate I have no idea what they will do.

They are so moronic they plan to protest at the fa cup final about us not winning anything and therefore under mine the teams chances of winning something

Haters ? They arent haters surely - just fellow fans worried about a lack of success at a big club.

Those fans pay very good money to watch their team ( most expensive tickets in the country ) and pretty sure they would like some reward from their team. The FA Cup ( if you win ) will be your first trophy in 9 years - can you see why people would be a bit unhappy ( as opposed to just calling them "haters" ).

What do you prefer - FA Cup or 4th place ?

Knowing Caldwell as I do, I've absolutely no doubt that he volunteered to take the first penalty. He's Club Captain and a natural leader. However, Rosler should have refused and put Gomez up first. Caldwell's miss put too much pressure on Collinson. Not what I would call "seriously flawed". But an error in judgement definitely. As for Carson's "antics". That is his usual penalty routine. He's done it for years. Why would he change for a penalty shoot out. Instead of criticising him, I'd rather give credit to the arsenal penalty takers for 4 very good penalties under extreme pressure.

Id also just like to say that I'm extremely proud of my club. We defended the Cup better than anyone expected. We've played more games this season than almost any other club in Europe. We've changed managers twice in 12 months. We've challenged near the top of a very difficult division, and we've done it relatively small crowds and an even less fashionable image. We are living through our glory years right now and couldn't be happier about it.
