Had to manually check this as I'd never seen it before.
Only 6 players in the competition.
The best 3 all shot over their handicaps but all 3 were just 1 shot within their SSS buffer zone.
This resulted in the CSS going down by 1 shot ( 50% of the field in buffer).
Which in turn meant the best 3 were now outside the CSS buffer and everyone in the competition went up 0.1.

No matter how hard I try to understand the css I just can't fathom it out, asked so many stupid questions in the past I gave up and still can't get my head round how it computes.

Why? CONGU has only set a date once. The original 2020 was a nominal target suggested by the WHS body as a whole. It has always been known that England were unlikely to meet the Course Rating requirement before 2020 because of the lack of county resources. Although it seems that will be done early in 2020 at worst. Of course CONGU would not want to implement at the start or in the middle of a playing season, so have gone for November.

Late 2020 has been known and widely published for many months. It's too far off to get excited yet. There are still some details to be sorted and there is no demo system to look at.

Im not getting excited I'm just saying, if the info is generally known by county reps. they should be informing the clubs. Even EG's web site has no info on extensions to the time line and probable dates that I can find https://www.englandgolf.org/handicaps-rules/whs-2020/

All clubs are hearing is that the date keeps being put back which suggests that they were overly ambitious with their time line at the start and need to keep paying members (us) through the web site, about the challenges they are having instead of those of us that believe in what the WHS has to offer batting questions back and forth. It only gives the OLD SCHOOL the ammunition they want to poo poo it all which is a shame.

Just a lack of communication which should be easily accessible and needs to be rectified. IMHO

Perhaps not excited, but certainly unreasonable. In order to roll out information and training you first have to train your trainers. That's going on at the moment and necessarily means that those who will be delivering seminars etc for clubs will have knowledge and understanding not yet passed on to club members. In due time, it will be passed on. There's no point in agitating that the outcome of a planned process has not been reached when we are only part of the way through the process of achieving that outcome. Scottish Golf will be starting the first of 12 seminars to be held around the country on 5th August and that has been signalled to clubs and on the SG website since mid-May. Most of them are now full. Have you checked out the England Golf website for similar information?
