What a run-chase by england, Strauss the pick of the batsmen With 158 from 145 balls, I thought we was gonna lose it when we started losing a few wickets but then we ended up trying to get 2 runs from 1 ball, but we settle for the 1 run for the tie.

But overall good performance by england, And brilliant batting performance!! :D:D

Well done boys

What a fantastic game of cricket :D

700 plus runs for the loss of 18 wickets with the teams inseparable at the end. Well played both teams, but special mention for that Strauss innings.

If the other so called big games can live up to that, its gonna be one hell of world cup

A perfect example of why cricket should just be Test and 50 over ODI and to dismiss 20:20 as the distraction it is.

ODI is a proper test of skills across the board. Do you get that level of tension and excitement in 20:20? Do you hell.

It's the investment of time that makes it exciting.

20:20 is like a quick one off the wrist in comparison to a hearty roll in the hay. Sure, they both end up with the same result but only one counts as meaning something.

If you want to be picky though

Anderson posted the worse World Cup bowling figures by an Englishman

Too many runs conceded by poor fielding (still) particularly Shahzad

A familiar batting collapse mid order when a lot of the hard work had been done

If you want to be positive

Great first ball 6 by Shahzad (to redeem himself)
Brilliant knock by Strauss
Pietersen showing a retunr to form and out to a flukey dismissal
A renewed sense of belief in the camp

One thing though. Why isn't a game like this decided by losing fewer wickets before declaring it a tie?

And Geoff Boycott (***) got it wrong AGAIN. Four overs to go. "I'd back India 10 times out of 10 from here. No way they lose this".

How does this prat get away with being so wrong so often?

Except he was right - they didn't lose.

;)

I agree, finishing all our overs with men still in should have given us the win but thems the rules, they do change in the knockout stages but I think the win goes to the team with the highest overall run rate. Overall though a cracking game of cricket and we'll take the draw against the cup favourites, even though we could have won it, at times it looked like we were going to lose it.
