Also, you know who you are dealing with. I look after my mother in laws energy supplier and for the last 3 years we have had an email saying “sorry you are leaving “ . Turned out that Look after my Bills had got someone’s data wrong and were switching (or trying) the MiL every year. Hopefully stopped it now but have to wait til next year....The difference is that if you do it yourself and go through the likes of topcashback then you can get the cashback and not the switcher company. I'm due £140 for my switch last month.
