Management. There is an element of Biomechanics involved as well as the performance side but it is mainly Management Nowhere near good enough to focus on playing side. Can rip it up with the best of them on a good day but just far to inconsistent. Shot a 93 early in the week!! Some of the guys here are +2,+3 handicappers which is out of my league. Some of them are internationals, Paul Kinnear is one, a member at Formby he shot 63 round there last year.
Well done you, another good choice.
Management and maintenance are the future in golf and that is where the money and jobs will lie. HGK/Course managers are starting to become the highest paid club employes.
I was a course manager at a top club in the late 1970's and I was earning more than the Secretary. Not the norm in those days!!!
If it is not included in your course try to take a basic course in greenkeeping, that will help when looking for employment early in your career.

Sums it up really. Water, nuts and seeds do the jobIf you are reasonably fit, then a four hour walk, dawdling along, with the odd golf swing in between, shouldn't leave you short of energy. It just shouldn't.
If you are a bit over weight, unfit, and struggle to play 18 without some sustenance, may be you need to look at your exercise regime, not your on course diet?
