There's a trend I've noticed on here,
And it's caught me by surprise,
The Scots are not too happy
The reasons I'll now surmise
You see they were never really conquered,
Despite what you may have heard,
The reason they are part of Britain
Is really quite absurd
You see they gave the English a hiding
At the Battle of Bannockburn
(Something they'll remind you of
At any given turn)
But then old Liz the first
Wanted to be the Virgin Queen
I doubt many would have gone there though
Based on the portraits that I've seen
Which meant that she had no children
And England had no heir
So we got a jolly Scotsman
Who didn't seem to care
His coronation would cause such tension
For centuries to come
When James VI of Scotland
Would rule the Englishmen
There's a debate about independence
That happens on and off
And we can't discuss the Open
Without our heads being bitten off
They're celebrating that Team

Hasn't got any Scottish men
And the thread on cheating Rangers
Is at page one hundred and ten
I can't abide this hatred
As I love the scots sincerely
Have worn a kilt many times
And been to several Ceilidhs
But often I do think
We'd all have been done a favour
If history had left well alone
So they could be our noisy, angry neighbour
