Electric trolleys should be banned !!!!!

I'm all for a black glove, in fact some of my best friends wear black gloves! ;)

I like black gloves. I got called Michael Jackson for wearing a single white one recently.... Just goes to show you

So I did a moonwalk down the fairway for my mates & a pirower whilst holding onto my golfing trilby... Wend down well with the lads. There again they'd all just had two pints of cider each at the halfway house... some people are easily amused.

I'm pro-black glove btw

EDIT: Never worn plus fours or two for that matter....

...But there's always a first time

I prefer the Alvin Stardust look with a nice big sparkling ring on the outside of the glove. ;)

Darn. You're right. Oops, that's a clanger!

Can't to see where this thread leads tonight!

Anyway haven't you all got work to do? Or are you in limbo like me and find the forum a bit of amuzement to while away the day?

I'm currently sat in the garden, with my 3 week old daughter, enjoying the sun. (We have got the umbrella up before anyone says anything about babies and direct sun)

I used a trolley from a very young age (or Mum or Dad carried my tiny wee clubs in their bags) then carried from the age of nine til about twenty five.
Back operation was last year.
As for speed, as long as you don't leave it in daft places around the green and think about where you park, it's bundles faster.

lets get everyone carrying their bag from now on and watch the times of a round of golf drop back into the 3-4 hour marker.

Spot on madandra, especially these young lads theres no excuse for not carrying their bags the lazy sods.

Couldnt give a stuff whether you use a leccy trolley/push or pull or even carry. As long as you make good progress between shots and dont fart arse about thats fine with me.

I havr to admit I am of the persuasion that if you are able bodied you should carry and that trollies are for girls. I play golf regularly with 4 friends and 3 colleagues who all use trollies. I constantly tell them all that only girls use a mule to tow they're clubs around and constantly laugh when they wonder up a bank or bunker and tip them all over, or even funnier get caught in a gate.

That is just my personal stance though. I carry because I find I can take my clubs anywhere with me and find it aids my general fitness, when my back goes or i get too old I may switch to trollies. I don't believe the use of trollies, manual or electric in any way slow play. It's the golfer that slows up play not their equipment.

Wow, lost track of this thread so just going to post anyway so sorry if its already been said.

Andra' Behave! :D

I am young, fit and carry more often than not BUT!!!!

I have recently got the pull trolley out for a few rounds. Last couple of days has been roasting here so alot of fluids have been in the bag, I am not carrying all that weight because come the end of the round I want to feel as fresh as possible. Coincidence that my finishing has been stronger since? I dont think so.

I am playing the last 6 holes in less shots than before so I am taking less time.

Bounce games, 9 holes etc I will carry, no problem with that, but when I want to play really well (GM meet or comp) I think from now on I may use the trolley.

I was also discussing buying a 'leccy one today and I am 24 :D

I havn't carried a bag in years. Why make the game harder than it has to be?

If I was playing a Hilly course, I would definately think about getting a buggy.

Recently though I've looked at a few Pencil bags, chuck a couple of clubs in and go out for a round.

I have switched to a Powakaddy purely because my knee is feeling it nowadays, but to be brutally honest, if you have never used one, the difference you feel by the end of the round is considerable, it really is.

Pro's have a caddy for one reason only, so that they can play their game to the best of their ability, as well as do the yardages etc etc.
If they feel it beneficial to have their clubs carried, just why wouldnt any of us feel the benefit too ???

My son bought himself a Greenhill push trolley, and he's only 15, and to be honest, I'm quite glad he has. Much better for you.

Those of you that still wanna be all macho and tough by carrying, go ahead, I used to.
But one thing is for sure, it certainly doesn't help you.

Just to add to my last post, I Play football a few evenings a week and more often than not, my legs go late on in the game if I have carried. If I use a trolley, I have the legs for the full game. So that is just another reason why I would use one.

I prefer to carry but do use the motocaddy on ocassions.

Played 27 holes on Sunday at Mottram. Carried for the morning 9, was fairly warm. Trolley in the afternoon for the 18. Was hotter than the morning.
Been under the weather for about 4 weeks now and TBH if I could have hijacked a buggy for the last 6 holes I would have done.

There is a place for trollies but still prefer to carry
