Hope you are all well and enjoying your golf, I know I am.

I have a quick question and would value some opinions.
Hubby is considering purchasing an electric golf trolley, he currently carrys but his back has been playing up a while now and we think the time has come for him to stop carrying.

We have seen so many on the market we are just not sure what to go for.

Any recommendations would be most welcome, I may even consider getting myself one aswell ;)

Money wise we thought no more than £400 particularly if we end up buying 2 ;)

Thank you

I have a powerpro trojan, they do not make them anymore however they do sell an updated version i'll post the link below this post.I have had it nearly 3 years and it has needed a new controller it cost £9.99 and that's all it's needed, apart from that it has been very reliable and at the price well worth a look, you'll get inundated on here with recommendations for the Gokart as well and they are good also.
but for the price especially if getting 2 I do not think you will beat these.

Go Kart all the way. Small enough to get two into a reasonably sized boot, lightweight and great customer service. Who knows, if you buy two together they may even give you a "bulk buy" discount

Thanks guys,
we are going to go and have a look at Lindengolf which Drawboy suggested (thank you)as they are just up the road from us so any problem we could potentially go straight back to the source.
If no joy then we will pop up to our local AG.
Thank again

I have the Powerbug Sport which is ideal.

If I were buying again today I would buy another however the glowing reports of Gokart, despite me personally not liking the look of them, I think they look cheap and nasty, I would consider one.

I've got a Powerbug, but If I were looking to get a trolley now I wouldn't buy another. I think they are heavy and too bulky.
I have never used a Powercaddy that didn't break down, so they are out - though I do like the pneumatic tyres that you can get for them.

How low can they fold has to be a serious consideration, as is weight, reliability, durability

My Powerbug is certainly not bulky or heavy. Its a carbon copy of Motocaddy. I guess its all down to your own perception.

Motocaddy always seem well made and reliable.

The PowaKaddys look nice, and the one I used at Beau last year was fine.

I don't like my HillBilly much, and wouldn't buy another one.

Not keen on the plastic pig either. No idea why, except it is fugly.

If I was buying now it would be motocaddy S3 or the equivalent PowaKaddy.

Just a piece of info I picked up at the club the other day.
My place demands Hedgehogs on trolleys during winter - they're off now - and several Members have apparently had their clutches burn out to the extra resistance of having the Hedgehogs on the wheels.
If your course has a Hedgehog rule you may want to take this into account.........

craw, don't know about all Powerbug's but the one I have is a clone of the Motocaddy S1; same electronics and drive gear, different frame and controls.

it's worth checking both motocaddy and powerbug for spares; treaded wheels (at least when I got them) were cheaper at motocaddy. the different frame means motocaddy accessories may not fit.

at the moment mine needs a check up, but I've heard of a powercaddy/motocaddy service agent in Stevenage so hopefully he'll do it - save a ton in shipping costs.

I went to Go Karts and bought a trolley from them today after chatting to Richard at the North Kent Forum meet last week

Everyone there was really nice and helpful. I didnt need a battery as my Hillbilly one fitted. Used it this afternoon and have to say that it performed very well. It was much more stable than the old Hillbilly ... so far so good. Half was paid for out of my £1 e/w bet on Charl for Masters at 80/1, so, a real bargain!
