Electric Trolley Battery Question

M1 is the best trolley of the 2. Folds down really small. On a side note if you get the 18 hole battery it folds up in the trolley.. The 36 needs to be removed.

M1 you don't need to buy the adaptor to fit things like a score card holder or umbrella holder..

The charger can be most useful if you need to top up your phone at all.

My lithium Battery is 36 hole and stays in trolley to be charged.

the 36 hole lithium battery fits in the collapsed trolley as well.

really? must be a change of design. My M1 Pro (bought 3 years ago) has a 36 hole batter and you cant fold it up with the battery inside

Is your battery lithium ? All lithium batteries have been designed to fit in the trolleys when they are collapsed

Yeah it is lithium, however it was the first gen of m1 and the battery has this little half inch bit on top that prevents it from folding

Definitely folds mate, just back from playing, have M1 with lithium 36 and it sits flush in the tray. As you say probably redesign.

Was thinking of starting a different thread but will put here for now.

I bought a Motocaddy S1 Pro at the end of last May. To date I am on my 3rd replacement 18 Hole lead acid battery and charger. The current one replaced in November, and hence not having had much use because of a near 3 month trolley ban, starts packing in on the 14th!!!

Previously my old trolley had its original and one replacement battery over 8 years, and it was still doing 18 holes at a breeze when I retired it. I was tempted to lithium up when buying the Pro but thought - no real point as I don't really need to.

Had Motocaddy said that their 18 hole lead acid option is about as much use a chocolate lead acid trolley battery I would have gone lithium.

I am not unique in experiencing this problem as asking around several others have found the same problem.

Anyone else suffering / suffered similarly?

I love the trolley but am very very very VERY dischuffed about the battery.

Had mine back in Nov 14 and battery crapped out in July last year, have reliably informed that if replacement battery also goes that it will not be covered as warranty is only from date of purchase. If that is the case will use couple of old Hill Billy batteries I have till they go then will be down Lithium route.

Yes, I had been told that by a mate who got stuffed the same way.

I think perhaps they ought to discontinue the lead acid option and only offer lithium. I've seen posters up at various clubs and pro shops saying "now's the time to go lithium" pushing upgrades.

The lead acid battery that came with my S1 lasted nearly three seasons. The first replacement lasted about 6 months. That was replaced under warranty by my pro, with a Yuasa battery (available pretty cheap on eBay). I went lithium (Liberty Batteries) then as mentioned earlier in this thread. Moved the Yuasa battery into my old GoKart trolley for the boy, going strong 18 months later.
