When returning to threads I've contributed to I'll occassionally notice errors in my own posts [usually grammar related]... Can't see a tool to enable me to edit/correct my mistakes...

You can only edit your post for a short time after you posted it.
If you look at the bottom right of your post, you will see "edit"

As Bob said you only have the option for a short time. Although don't worry about it!
