Is it a ballot or first come first served?

100 fastest entries

Then next 100 is balloted, last years ballot was 4.4 I think.

Then this year 40 special places for those that have played in the Eden before.

Even if you don’t get in now you will go on the reserve list (handicap order) and I reckon you will get in, 2 years ago 5.8 ended up getting in from the reserve list

If you are going on your own plenty stay in the university halls.

We hired a house last time.

have a look at Dundee, if you are driving up Dundee is only a short drive over the Tay Bridge, plenty of accom there and less pricey than St Andrews

I wouldn't recommend staying outside St Andrews. The Eden/Strathtyrum events are as much about the social side as they are about golf and you want to be within walking distance of the pubs, restaurants etc.

Totally agree for this year.

This year they have quite a few evening events to go to.

Usual botched entry attempt taking well over a minute. Have to rely on Ballot again this year. At least my handicap is down to 3.7 so may stand a chance. Fingers crossed!
