Ecco golf shoes

ive 4 pairs and the first pair are only now just letting water in 6 years later, lasted a good 5 years 9 months longer than any pair of FJ ive had.

My AQL's are now 3yrs old and still as good as new and totally waterproof, haven't worn them as much the last 2 winters as my Nike Control ll's are much lighter and more comfortable and their still great and totally waterproof still, I've also got a pair of Adidas Gripmore and they've come through some heavy summer showers BUT, those 3 pairs I don't think add up to the cost of 1pr of Ecco's so I'm very happy with being able to swap and switch my 3 pairs of shoes around which are all waterproof at a much lesser outlay.

I'm on to my second pair of ecco classics. These are GoreTex and have spikes, but have sadly been discontinued. Fantastic quality and comfort straight out of the box. Can't rate them highly enough. Next shoe will be ecco with GoreTex.

Thanks for the comments on care for Ecco shoes.

As per Fish I'd also like to add that I've got a pair of FJ AQLs that I've worn through all the wet weather of the last 3 years and they're only just now starting to leak a little as the leather begins to crack where it joins the sole, so my experience of FJ has been positive.

As Matt said really, we got ours in the magazine but wouldn't buy anything else again. I've had many different footjoys and they've all failed with weeks. If you treat them with ecco lotion I've found them to stay waterproof for longer. Mine leaked slightly in really wet weather near the bottom of the tongue. Got the lotion right in there and the last 3 rounds my feet have been bone dry, and we all know what the weathers been like!. I'm still tempted on the gortex version though, still had no grip issue with the spike less in this weather.

Blimey, best I've ever got on the cover of GM are some transfer/ball markers. Well done that man. ;)

I have two pairs of Ecco Bioms, and two pairs of Street shoes. Most comfortable shoes I have ever had.

The Bioms are completely waterproof. Not sure about the Street ones as I don't use them for golf. I find the Bioms with soft spikes more comfortable than the pair with pimples for some reason. Also in the wet they give me more confidence.

I have a pair of ECCO Streets and they are great in the summer but not waterproof at all. I had a pair of ECCO Tour Classic Brogues and they were horribly uncomfortable for some time, very stiff leather that gave me blisters on the heel. The sole on the toe of the right foot came away and again after replacement. Not good.

I have a pair of FJ Contour for winter use, comfortable from the box and still dry after two wet winters.

ha ha yeah the postman was going crazy as he could not post it them through letter box (when the mag was delivered) and luckily the shoes were in my size too! ;)
