Dundonald

Sorry, I'm having a blonde day. Some of the earlier posts, I presume your still talking about Dundonald.

Greenock - worth it or not?

Edit - sorry, actually dont want to hijack the thread, Ill be posting again soon asking for other Ayrshire courses advice.

Sunday 18th is Mothers day is it not???

Sorry but I'm at Machrihanish Dunes on Saturday so not a hope of hell of a Sunday game, plus I'm early shift!

Played the Dunes this time last year, fantastic course with great views

I'm a Dunes veteran! This will be my 10th round. I think it has potential to be better than Machrihanish. It's a great track.

Will definitely go back. We stayed at the Ugadale Cottages, very nice and I see that the hotel is open now.

The course was fantastic and a good rival to the old course just across from the Ugadale.

I'd thoroughly recommend giving Greenock a miss.I used to be a member there. You won't enjoy it.Some of the holes are simply terrible, particularly the ones round about the turn.

But to be fair there are some stunning views.

Liverbirdie,

A few of us are going to Ayrshire in early May and we've used http://www.ayrshiregolfpass.co.uk/ to book 3 rounds at Irvine, Kilmarnock and Prestwick St. Nicholas.
Also, if you're prepared to tee off after 3 o'clock, Turnberry Ailsa is £95 a round and there's plenty of daylight at that time of year.:whoo:

Hi PaulE, haven't seen that one. I did see the Prestwick golf passport which includes Prestwick, Prestwick st nicks and st cuthberts. I'll check it out. At the mo playing Greenock, Bonyton and 2-3 others to be advised.

Yes, we done the Turnberry one last year. No offers at Troon, a kind invite to Gourock and a potential meet up with fat tiger and his buddies, who are also up there the same week. Were just deciding which days to be up there, it was so cheap at the Haven camp we have payed for a week, but willonly be there for 5 days £86.00 each for a week in a 3 bed caravan!!!
