Another sad day in the history of my club ,this is the second time in 7 years that they have gone into administration last time the debts were over 20 million this time a figure of 2 million is being banded about. There are saying we're 4 weeks away from liquidation,i hope this never happens but what sort of team will be left after the redundancies, they will try and sell the 2 players they payed £265k last season the only club in Scotland apart from Celtic to buy anyone.

Again there asking the fans to dig deep and bail there mis management out, this cant keep happening as the fans pay enough, the problem again being one man came in with money and an alleged pile of it and took over never the best as they had a plan from the first time and that went out the window.

Anyway i will be Junior football to go and see as i'll never watch that crap across the road DEE 4 LIFE.

Is anyone's team in or about to be in the same position and whats your thoughts.?

I think there are quite a few as yet unnamed teams in similar position. A lot of my mates are Portsmouth supporters, and they are not happy bunnies !

Liverpool could go the same way.............
LFC as a club are fine it's the two yank toerags that need to be gone.
Liverpool wont go down, nor get 9points deducted.

Surely the two Dundee teams could club together and make one decent team? :D

As a Palace fan I completely sympathise. I hope that you club get out of the mire and that if they do, that they survive and prosper. I also hope that they realise that you cant run a club by paying too high wages etc and learn like all, but the mega rich clubs, to live within their means

It would make financial sense but would never happen the 2 grounds are 200 yards apart in the same street,Dundee fans would never support United. We spoke about this the other day,Dundee as a city isn't big enough to have 2 teams playing in it ,simples. The way things are going there might only be 1 shortly and if so its up to watch Lochee Utd in the Juniors, happy days.

As a Pars fan i feel for you and the other Dees fans Steve, really hope that you still have a club to support at the end of this.

It is hard though to believe that a club can go through this twice in 7 years, why on earth was there not lessons learnt from the first time?

As usual its the fans who are suffering and being asked to fork out for other peoples mismanagement.

Thank god we(Dunfermline Athletic) took steps to avoid this sort of thing a couple of years ago and we seem to be on a steady footing at the moment.

Unfortunately Dundee F.C wont be the last club to go into administration in Scotland and i think we may see another couple go the same way if something isnt done to sort out the mess that is Scottish football.

Is it really that bad up there. I know some of the grounds in the first and second divisions aren't much bigger or better than some of our conference grounds but if you can't fill it then you wouldn't want anything else.

If Dundee go will it start a domino effect and how far down will it reach. What about the Highlands league for example which I know is part time but will the ripples affect that far down. Will it only be premier league teams struggling

So Dens Park could turn into another Tesco or blocks of flats? Doesn't look too good does it.
You'll need to do an Inverness and merge - Caley and Thistle fans didn't get on in the past but they do now!

....Real Dundee?..... tangerine and navy stripes! ;)

Another fine example of mismanegement, that bawbag Walter Mitty Melville needs strung up as he has buggered a great club with a fine history. I went thro the pain back in 93 when we played Utd in the cup and it looked liked it was the Dream Teams last game but we came thro it and I hope you come thro it too.

Feel very sorry for Dundee fans, historically the number one team in Dundee before they allowed Jim Mclean to walk over the road....

The only people who suffer are the loyal fans, and as a Hibby I hope you get out of it.Was listening to Patrick Barclay, 'celebrity fan' the other day on talksport, he suggested the fans should restart ala FC United and call themselves Discovery FC or something along those lines, has anything like that been discussed?

Anyway, we'll always be grateful for Sir Albert Kidd and his majestic day in history in 1986

It's a tragedy that football in Britain has reached this point.

One of the great British clubs going under for the sake of Rooney's wages for a couple of months.

Still, blow you Jack, I'm fireproof.

Dundee were also one of the clubs that had the honour of employing a player many people rate as the best player ever to play for a home nation, he's the only player to win the league in Scotland for three seperate teams and none of them were the old firm.Hibs,Hearts and Dundee. His name was Gordon Smith, the gay Gordon and, according to my dad who watched the likes of Edwards,Matthews,Finney & Moore for England as well as the holy trinity for United, he was a match for any of them.

Hopefully Dundee will come out of this. I've been to Dens Park a few times, and hopefully will have the opportunity to to so again in the future.

I'm a Liverpool season ticket holder and obviously our club has been through the mill in recent times. Fingers crossed both our clubs fortunes will take a turn for the better soon.

I hope they go and I hope they take another 10-15 teams with them. Scotland has too many diddy teams who have France all chance of ever doing anything or achieving anything.

Get them too feck. Dundee cant support two teams, merge of put up the shutters. Inverness has proven that differences can be overcome and success built.

Look at Tayside in general, Montrose, Forfar, Brechin & Arbroath, all haddocks of Scottish football who pool about 2000 fans maximum between them! What's the point???? Force them to merge into a Tayside County or something.

Scottish football is bad enough without supporting all the dross associated with its lower leagues!

Dundee a diddy team?I'd guess they are in the top dozen teams in Scotland for trophies won.You may have a point about the lower leagues in Scotland, but to chuck dundee in there with them is ott.

Do you follow either of the OF by any chance?

So only teams who have won a trophy in the last ten years should be allowed to survive? That makes Livingston a bigger team than Dundee or Aberdeen.Dundee's contribution to the fabric of Scottish football over the last 60-odd years justifies their existence.
