I have finally managed to score when it counts.
After about 2 months of doing it on sat's and then failing on the Sunday comp.

It was our club championship today and I went round in 85 (nett 64) to equal my best round at stressholme (1st time off the whites).

Hopefully I should be cut a fair bit for this, I currently play off 21.0.

I was only 5 over (gross) after the front nine.

I've just looked.
Par and SSS is 71 so just the 7 shots under your handicap.
Thats a great score..........unless you are a member of Waltham Windmill in Lincolnshire.
I was there on Thursday of last week and saw the results of last weeks medal.
1st....net 61
2nd....net 62
3rd ...net 63
Net 64 and above won nothing except a handicap chop.
Shakes head in dis-belief :( :( :(

Good shooting. I was +5 after 15 recently and finished 6, 6, 6 (double, triple, single) so good to see someone hold it all together. I hope after that score you a) win the prize and b) get the good cutting you deserve.

Well done. Its great to shoot low with your mates but even better to finally do it with a card and pencil in hand. Enjoy it.

I just checked on HowDidIDo.com and the results are in....
I came first after countback with lowest gross and I think I may win the prizes for losest net score aswell.

My new handicap is 19.0 by the way.
