DOES YOUR MRS PLAY GOLF???

My beloved really doesn't like golf and really hates me watching it on TV.

to be honest although it would be nice if she would play with me on occasions It is also nice that golf is my escape from home, work, etc.

I enjoy playing on my own sometimes as solitude is a precious commodity in my life.

My wife refuses to do any sport with me, she says I am too competetive, as if thats a bad thing.

She will not even play board games with our son if I am playing.

Thankfully she also has no interest in golf and as Jon said it is the one place I can get away from everything as I also enjoy playing on my own sometimes.

No, she doesn't get it. However, both boys are keen (age 9 & 4) so the future looks rosey. The OH has got an allotment now near the golf course so should also be OK for when the weather improves and the days are longer!! ;)

Brendy,

What's the course over your way that used to have the long tree lined par 6. Castle something if I remember right.

Played that with a couple of my uncles a few years ago.. interesting is the best word to describe it.
Bright Castle, Its now just a very very long par 5 up hill!
I dont really like that course as its never totally dry!
Gasp, no bother any advice I can dish out mate....rightly or wrongly! :)

No and don't want her to, it's my past time not her's, don't dare suggest it to her! I'll find you! I'll hunt you down!
I need my space.............. ;)

On the way back from the golf course for lunch today I popped into Nevada Bob's for a few things.

My girlfriend picked up a lady's 7 iron, realised it's half the weight of a gent's and she has admitted wanting to buy one to hit at the range with me.

Oh Lord. I can see a fight on my hands to stay ahead of her in the handicap stakes soon.

I took Ali up the range with me a couple of times. Bless her, she was pretty good - natural good balance from being a yoga teacher.

She had one quirk which made me laugh though. She was too embarrased to look at the ball once she'd hit it and turned back to look at me behind her instead!

My wife took up the game earlier in the year and is improving quite a bit. She does not want to play every week so I still get my time out with my mates when I need it,
