Your post was:
One of the reasons i play golf is to loose weight. So needless to say, i carry my bag. Today on Craigmillar Park know one was carrying there clubs. Whats the crack, am i missing something

You must admit that it's written in an inflammatory manner.

Perhaps you were fishing? If you were, you've got nuff biters....

Hahahaha what part is inflammatory.

I thought i was missing something, like is it BETTER.

Cant you ask a question on here, with out people taking you out of context.

Makes my piss boil.

You didn't ask whether it was better though, did you? Your question was very nondescript.

Also, you linked carrying golf clubs to loosing weight. Thus, from your post, you've made the distinction that everyone should carry so as to lose weight.

I don't want to row with you about it - I use a trolley - an electric one at that and I'll continue to do so. You choose to carry.
That's the beauty of golf - we all do different things with, ultimately, the same aim.

What you must realise though is that when something's written down, it doesn't always come across how you want it to.

I'm getting a bit concerned about the amount of golfers with bad backs. What are people doing whilst playing that is causing this problem.

Push, pull, motorise, carry etc etc. I don't care. Just have fun and watch your backs.

Carry most rounds, but use the electric trolley when I play 36 hole games and if im expecting rain (so I can load it up with my wet gear).

I THINK the reason to why some golfers have sore backs, is the they don't stretch, and warm up properly.

Possibly too many years of carrying their clubs or pulling a trolley?

Strangely enough, I always feel worse after pulling a trolley than I do after carrying. Maybe carrying utilises mainly the bigger muscle groups such as back and legs, whilst pulling utilises smaller muscle groups such as arms and shoulders.

It makes my boil, i only asked a simple question.

90% of the answers were helpful, but the other 10% were utter s.

Unfortunately thats what happens on forums, keyboard warriors, and TROLLS.

I just need to learn to ignore the 10%. LMAO

Well this got a bit heated didnt it!!?? Why?

It's a question about carrying. Ok, the question says does noone carry anymore, well clearly they do, but people also push, pull and buzz too.

Who cares what anyone else does! If you carry and fancy a trolley, go for it, there are some bargains about at the moment, i posted about one last weekend. If you are a pusher and fancy carrying, do it.

I bought the trolley I posted about last week and it's great. I probably wont use it all the time but it gives me options so i can do what I want.

Dont argue over it, and dont make up facts to suit your argument! Just do what you want to do.

I nearly always carried before arthritus... Have invested in a clicgear trolley which I find to be very good... Would prefer though, to be rid of arthritus and go back to carrying... Rightly or wrongly I believe carrying makes you more of a golfer [whatever that means ;)]...

When I carried don't believe I ever walked accross the greens or entered a bunker with the bag on my back out of courtesy to my fellow golfers...

Or course i have changed my diet.

You won't loose that kind of weight from just changing your diet.

I cant speak for anyone else, so i won't.

Like i said, i power walk. And the courses i play are quite hilly.

Fair enough and fair play to you. Never got my heart rate high enough playing golf myself but if it works for you then fair enough. Wish I could keep weight off without having to go running but to be honest, I don't want a round of golf to feel like a good workout so power walking is not for me.

As I said, fair play to you though.

Then i have another one telling me, there's no way i lost what weight i have lost.

To be fair you didn't say how much weight you had lost, you said you play to lose weight and my opinion was that playing golf wasn't going to lose you much weight. Seems I was wrong.

Forums are all about opinion and if you leave room for question in your post, people are going to ask questions, it's just the way it is.
