Do you still carry cash?

In the UK I do carry cash in notes and cards in a small wallet but haven’t used either for as long as I can remember - I guess a year or so at least. My store cards, vouchers and credit cards are all on my phone so it is quicker using them from the phone rather than taking them out separately. As I haven’t used the notes in my wallet for a long time I haven’t had coins in any pocket far ages either. Cash and coins seem to belong to a different world these days.
This equally applies abroad but admittedly I did use notes in Oman and Morocco in cabs and to tip caddies and caddy masters. I will be taking Euros in cash to Portugal next week but don’t expect to use them. One good thing about paying via the phone abroad is that I immediately get a message on the phone and watch telling me the Sterling cost of the transaction which is handy for budgeting.

Whenever I get cash I get rid of it asap.

For example I just got £132.50 for one neighbours share of the drains .. he paid me cash. I was going down car wash to get the car cleaned after a week away so took £20 to get rid

Generally use a card or cash - for the simple reason that I'm far less likely to lose my wallet than I am my phone.

Lost my phone a few weeks back. What an absolute spheroid replacing it and the apps on it.

Similar to a guy a few weeks back on Romesh’s radio show where listeners pitch their passion.
He was pitching cash and one of the reasons is the wife/partner cannot see how much you spent on a night out if you use cash as it doesn’t show in the transaction list in the account
