Do you leave the cellophane on the legs of a new golf bag?

But most of them are a pain to get off and leave a sticky residue that then just collects dirt and fluff

Peanut butter on the shaft cleans the sticker right off . Something in the ingredients breaks down the residue

So how does anyone even know that? Who tried it first and why?

If I can be bothered to take them off I use white spirit.

I've gone with the majority and removed the cellophane.

Knowing my luck there will be a flood of votes to leave it on now

I did. Never really thought about it either way. And then started getting comments of surprise by other golfers when they saw I still had it on (think it stayed on for 4 or 5 years)

I'm guessing the oil in it will break down the adhesive or get under it and lift it.

How do any of these come about? Lol I mean if your shoes stink the most effective way to kill the smell is to put them in a bag and freeze them for a week to kill the bacteria

Who discovered that? Works well tho

Just know someone was trying to get it off their club and his wife comes in and goes peanut butter will get that off .. as it breaks down chewing gum

Learnt a couple of days ago that the best way of getting garlic smell of your hands when cooking is to rub them on anything stainless steel (you can even by a stainless steel ‘soap bar’ for the purpose. Odd.

We have one of those, the bars, and it really does work. I don't know why, don't really want to know. Some things are best left as a mystery
