Watched DJ win the BMW with some fantastic golf.

His post round interview however was lacking any sign of human life - what a pity!

Lot about this at the moment. Its said he is so vacant that he does not have the capacity to be over analysing or worrying about anything.

Has had a pretty rotten ride from the press/media in the past (perhaps justifiably so re alleged substance use and alleged indiscretions with fellow players wives) so probably doesn't want to give any soundbites at all, lets his game do the talking and he doesn't need or like/respect the media. Best player around at the moment.

The best players are often the thickest. I think he is remotely operated by his caddy most of the time. If he was a footy player, no one would have any expectations.

It's a shame that people can't accept that being world class at something doesn't mean that person has to have the personality to match. Andy Murray is without doubt the greatest tennis play Britain has produced and absolutely world class but why don't people just accept he's not going to give an interview like Rory can.

Nick Faldo? In fairness to Sir Nick, he had the decency to admit that he could not switch his concentration on and off to appease the crowds so had to have the blinkers on all the time. They can't all be like Lee Trevino, and you couldn't blame any of them for not trusting the press, as per Sir Nick's thanks to them "from the heart of his bottom".

Murray has a lot of personality. Just don't give a chit about the media and his game is good enough he doesn't need to sell himself in the media

The guy is exciting to watch play golf, that'll do for me.

If I want to be audibly entertained I'll watch a comedian.

I can't believe the amount of threads lately about alleged non-personalities.

On the 2011 Open Championship DVD he is interviewed on a few occasions and comes across very well. (the same can be said of Brandt Snedeker on the following year's DVD. He became one of my favourite US players on the back of his positive attitude etc)

Maybe its the banal style of interviewing that he cant be bothered with!

Maybe he'd rather his golf do the talking. I thought his interview straight after he won, litterally a minute after he sank his putt was pretty standard. He was distracted by his son but managed to give a 30 second snippet of his game that weekend.
