26 players were disqualified yesterday around 16% of field. No idea why.
However quite a few scores are not submitted on the day because of inability to enter score, machine not working. The cards are usually place in a box but as the last players going out are around 4.30 p.m the person inputting may have left.

No idea the reason as said previously but any scores not entered on the day could give a false handicap for a player if playing the next da.

Any thoughts/ help would be appreciated

We have an issue at the moment because our new score cards have three boxes at the top. Left to right they are, handicap index, course handicap, and playing handicap.
when you enter a comp the screen read out has playing handicap and course handicap in the opposite order.
quite a few have put the wrong handicaps in the wrong boxes resulting in DQs

That seems a bit harsh

As long as a correct Course HC is on the card there shouldn’t be a DQ. I appreciate the problems that HC & Comp Committee are having but they would have no authority to DQ for this example.

It was a Bank Holiday weekend is the person responsible actually at the club? Will he be correcting the error if there is one.

We use IG and the reason for DQ is entered by the person processing the cards. We have been getting quite a few cards not returned lately.

As you are probably aware Players handicaps will only be updated if the score has been uploaded to EG. Players cannot self adjust so the Handicap is what it says on the day that is the way it is.

We had a DQ at our club .
7 handicap just didn’t put his card in.
Sec phoned him to ask why . He put it in the bin on the 12th hole after waiting on every shot since the start.
Game in front had lost two holes and would not let them through.
So in protest the three players tore their cards up.

So 7 cap was DQ and his score was gross 116 on his handicap scoring list on IG.
9 cap was DQ and 118 gross on his IG list.
Is this double bogey on every hole?
As that would only be 108? 72+36 =108..
