Never force anything.. if you are divot guy or picker than that is who you are. I also tried to force a divot a while back for a season.Firsr few months was great.Than rest of year developed a nasty pull that was very hard to fix
I was once told that divot taking has little to do with plane.
It's more to do with shaft angle and impact and ensuring your weight shift in the down swing is correct. Going back two years when my game was on point I'm inclinded to agree
I was always told that the divot gets created by 3 different things happening. Having the ball back far enough in your stance, creating lag in the down swing and keeping your hands in front of the ball through impact. Somebody is probably going to come on and tell me I'm wrong, but I do all 3 of those and I take big old strips of turf out that you could open cast mine in........
