Well how many of you guys & Gals played competition golf this weekend.

I noticed Patrick had a good round and would have won his competition if he had only have signed his card, he did however still get a handicap reduction for his efforts.

What about the rest of you, how did you perform in competitions this weekend.

I'm not one of these folk who only broadcast good scores. I played yesterday as well 0.1 to go with the 0.6 cut.

I played like a complete and utter tool. In fact tools are useful so forget that

Gross 88 for a net 76. That would of been a successful score for me at start of season and a score I was struggling to shoot!. Suppose I should be content I played rubbish and scored that now and at least i know I can do much better.

Did a open competition 36 holes at Market Rasen yesterday £20 great value. 1st 18 buffer zone with 4 double bogeys on the trot. Felt that it would come together in the afternoon round and the wind picked up and had 7 pars and to many double bogeys 0.1 back I reckon but no sure yet. Irritating to say the least.

Started well par par bogey birdie , wheels fell off for a bit then +7 through the next 4 ..

.1's and buffers are the scope of my game at the min......... I THINK im playing better than im scoring but its scores that get ya cut not ball striking ..
Dis illusioned with the game i love at the min .. heading off to sulk for a bit

Handicap at +1.7 now. Absolutely awesome.

Shot the lowest round of my life at +14 and got a handicap cut down to 19.4. I am officially a teen handicapper. So my weekend was worth it.

Lovely conditions on Saturday witnessed

49 out ( boo, 7,7 start didn't help my mood)
41 back (hurrah)

for 2 below CSS and a wee 0.6 cut.

Report card says 'could have done better' - but after a poor start I'm quite pleased to have pulled it back together again for the rest of the round.

The lessons are paying off slowly...

Played in our bogey comp this weekend and beat the course +4 , came 3rd and received a cut of 0.9, just 0.1 of target handicap for the season.

Badly! Barely broke 90 and starting to (1) worry about my single figure status and (2) consider travelling back up North to play my old course at the weekend!

Non returned on the first. Kept the card though and should have buffered on stableford adjustments. Just annoying that I had such a bad start. Not helped by a shocking hang over.

Yes I did,thx for asking.
Played in a 2 man scramble on Saturday,we played well but putted nothing.
Medal sunday,equalled my personal best 2 over gross,looks like a 0.8 cut coming
so going to be 6.7 my lowest ever.
The only difference from the 2 days,putts dropping.

Well after 5 consecutive 0.1s despite feeling like i was never far away with my game. I finally managed to put it together and broke 80 for the first time this season! 76 blows in total as well as that for the first time ever hit all par 5's in 2 but I Managed to 3 putt everyone of them! So left at least 3 shots out there and by my calculations should be a cut to around 7.9 which is lower exact than i started the year which is funny considering I've struggled so many times this year to keep it just below 90 and 3 weeks ago had my worst ever 18hole score!

Not as good as it has been, shouldnt have started the post about my purple patch! Few loose shots, lip outs and fliers resulted in 28 points, although still took the money for nearest the pin and the back 9 in our bounce game.
