I've been lucky and already had my Christmas present, a new set of irons which I get to use for the first time on the course this weekend.
My birthday is just after Christmas so hopefully there's a new pair of Adidas shoes coming then too. Happy days

I've gone over to Ping, and got a set of G10s. I tried both the G10 and G15's and to be honest I couldn't tell really tell the difference between them. So with £100 off the G10s I went for them.

My missus bought me a golf bag once, it was a Nike stand bag bag that had precisely THREE pockets and some kind of crap fishing net on the side

Yep, unless you are very lucky the only way to get the right golf gear for Christmas (or any worthwhile Christmas/Birthday present) is to get it yourself.
Luckily, after a few (non-golf) howlers HID has realised this and a new Callaway Hyper x driver (heavily discounted from local pro shop) and a nice collectable limited edition Macgregor putter off e-bay await. Tom Watson DVDs are on the Amazon wish list, so I'm sorted.
Equally, we go to the garden centre and she tells me what gear, plants etc she wants.
Teenage son gets cash and latest Xbox game of his choice.
Happy days all round.

I have subtly been leaving a Go-Kart brochure around the house since August
When the brochure came in the post it had some Go Kart postcard things in it so I slipped them into a few of her handbags, I think she has only got one more to find!

Nice to see mention of the Amazon wish list. This has almost single handedly ended my days of crap presents from relatives. Put one together, email it out and that is it. I have been brave this year and put golf balls on it so here's hoping.
