Dave pelz bible marathon

I've just bought the Dave pelz short game bible and have started to read it ( I intend to read it cover to cover) and first impressions are that the writing style is a bit long winded and a touch pedantic . I don't know what his teaching will lead to but it has got to be good because a lot of golfers seem to have bought it and rate it highly. I will let you all know in due course what I have learnt and wether it helps my game or not , so watch this space.........

Good book , worth reading then just use the bits you need to rather than all the long winded bits.

First third a bit long winded but once you get into the actual technique its good. Not a style for me as I found it too regimented but when I did try it does work

Bottom line is its England. You could pose that question to most any sport in England that is played outdoors. Football rugby hockey etc etc. the thing is golf is 365. You don't have to play 18 holes. You can have lessons with your club pro and spend the next month working on what the pro has suggested, and hitting the drivin range. Me I love the challenge of a different course that the winter rain wind etc throws at it. I will say it is a lot easier if you are well wrapped up.

Very good book. Easier to skip to the sections where you need to improve though. Otherwise too much to remember.
