Data lite apps help

Hi everyone,

I've read a lot of the threads about smartphone apps and am wondering if anyone can give me advice about any apps that I can download on my laptop and install onto my new Sony Xperia S rather than constantly using my data allowance when on the course.

Obviously the GPS will be consantly running but I'm trying to avoid downloading every hole and images as I go around my course.

I only intend on using it during a solo round to help me learn distances as I feel this area lets me down and I either fall short or drastically overshoot the green.
