Credit, where credit is due..... Literally!

It was in transit .. Yes!
But what if it was in an aeroplane hold "in transit"?
Warranty is warranty. If a sale had not been mentioned then i'm sure folks on here would have been saying "take it back".

If you bought a car and it was "damaged in transit" i'm sure you would check the warranty and take it back.

A sale was mentioned. Stop vearing off course Vig and let it lie.

The bag was exchanged \ replaced under circumstances I find to be dubious. If you think otherwise then carry on.

I sold an ipod on ebay that was in oerfect working order and when it arrived no longer worked. One can onlt assume that it was broken in transit. I gave the guy a full refund and took it up with royal mail, thats what postal insurance is there for right???

Wrong! Its a ploy to get you to pay extra. I had taken every care to sufficiently package the item and yet royal mail told me it needed to be wrapped in bubble wrap, then jiffy bag and then further wrapped and then placed in a larger box filler with polythene or the like. They offered me nothing when it was clearly their incompetance that broke it. In short Tony would have got sweet F.A from them!

I think if AG where willing to keep a customer happy and to have him come back again due to the good customer service and vouchers, then why should anyone else care? Its not like there is a shop clerk with the money taken out of his wages, returns and refunds will be far more then covered in the product margins.

Thanks Ricardo, My thoughts exactly on the matter.

I was a little worried I would be responsible for single handedly bringing down the economy for returning my bag under 'dubious' circumstances.

I was assured the PM would not be inviting me for crisis talks when the guys at AG told me it was an acceptable return under the circumstances.
