guys can anyone recommend a good course in Kent - close ish to Dartford/Bexley area.
not too expensive, happy to pay up to £30pp for the round.

cheers in advance

There is Birchwood Park near Dartford and Pedham Place golf centre at Swanley but I've never played them so can't comment on their quality or lack of it.

But, if you don't mind a few miles down the A2....

Mid Kent near Gravesend is quite a nice track. Greenfees weekday round £30.

If you can stretch to £40 (or £25 if you are on the county card scheme) Rochester and Cobham is a really good test of golf and nice course. Can be a bit difficult to find if you don't know it.

Lots of excellent courses around the area a few miles south of the A2.

Looked at long-range weather mate, saturday looking questionable.

You don't believe the forecasts, do you?

Nobody ever takes any notice of them. They had been saying for days that there could be up to 6" of snow on Sun/Mon and none of the local authorities/transport people took any notice at all. Trouble was that for once they got it right.

Be in contact later in the week.

Jon,

I'm leaving work at 3.00 on Friday to head down but don't really want to drive down if its not going to be on. When do you think you will make a decision and if we can't play can we move it back a week.

Shall we make a call on Thursday AM and live with it whatever happens?

Don't fancy playing in sleet / snow / frozen greens, and Homer knows how much I moan when im cold.

Sorry for the hijack of thread nmartyn.

Can only recommend Cobtree in Kent as thats all ive played, its a decent municipal at a good price.

HTL really does moan!!!! Glorious day on Saturday weather wise. Me and ademac thought it was great and there was this Welsh voice on every hole "bloody hell it's cold. Can't play in the cold etc, etc"

Trouble was despite all his moaning he still shot 35 points.

I dont mind the cold but I dont like bloody cold weather and that it was on Sat.

Any how you cant beat a good moan can you.

I have fished in temps of -9 before!

I thought that you had some Inuit in you Jon.

Did you do a Ray Mears and drill a hole in the ice, drop the line and bait, put some twigs and bracken in the hole to stop it freezing, and pull up ready frozen fish ?

:D :D
