100% worth the trip if you get the chance. Accept that you will go in bunkers, it's unavoidable but part of the fun of playing there. I played it in February and it was spot on even then.I think it has gone on my wish list. ?

I would complain in the pro shop and expect a courtesy round. Greens maintenance is a nightmare. In Spain they announce it months in advance and offer a discount for a couple of weeks after. Here they just seem to do it whenever it's a nice day for the greenkeepersYou would expect that but what happens when you turn up the week after they have had work on the greens![]()
I think greenkeepers do give notice of when they will do work on the greens, however if there is a good spell of warm weather they will bring the work forward as it helps the greens recover quicker.I would complain in the pro shop and expect a courtesy round. I'm not sure where you're based but £50 in the south doesn't get you anywhere near a top course. Try £100+ for somewhere 'decent'.Are all top courses not always in great condition? If I payed more than £50 for a green fee I would expect nothing less than immaculate!

What was better there compared to Bearwood Lakes and Queenwood?
Given a few comparisons I can make with other well recognised courses this summer, and the comparisons I have heard others make, yes - Farnham is indeed in great condition.Hindhead is always in great condition, and I have heard good things about Farnham from a mate that played their last week.
I played Hindhead last week. Good condition as always but I've seen the greens better. They weren't as quick as normal either. Can’t fault Hindhead
Yup, greens maintenance was week commencing 15/8I played Hindhead last week. Good condition as always but I've seen the greens better. They weren't as quick as normal either.
Royal St. Georges, Royal Cinque Ports, Princes and Littlestone down my way have been fantastic.
