course vandalism

This is absolutely disgraceful behaviour, some people are just a complete waste of oxygen and sperm!

I remember when I was working at Chartham Park down in east Grinstead back in 2003/4, the club captain was the head PE teacher at the local secondary school, really strict, incredibly miserable and just didn't have the patience to be a teacher in truth, no one liked him but he didn't really like any of the students other than the ones who were really good at sport, luckily I was one of the students he liked as I was pretty good with a football. Obviously, some of the kids at the school (I'd left by then) heard he was the club captain and decided to burn the second green writing "Turk is a C***" on it....they also ripped out some of the ball cleaners and hole guides around the course, and pinched a few of the electric buggies dumping two of them in the 18th lake and completely trashing the other one by rolling it a few times.

I remember my father telling me of a society day he was on and the 1st group went off very early and on one of the holes someone had dedicated in the hole!!!! Don't know whether he realised before he removed his ball though.

What we are forgetting here and what some of you English Fellas don't know is that Strabane is generally a scummy place (there are some exceptions obviously). But it didn't get voted the 4th worst place to live the UK by chance

Grew up within a short walk of this course, lovely friendly little gem for anyone who's in the area, as for "Scummy place" lightbulb offensive lightbulb. No better or worse than Omagh, Derry or any other town.

It's not me it's stats, polls and opinions that makes this persona. Don't shoot the messenger

i play at foyle in derry. was there for a round. 10 over with a double bogey at the last after being out the back in two. rage. mizzel rain all day but didnt have to get the brolly out. wind blowing across course most holes. happy with the round.

really enjoy the challenge of strabane. the driving is alot tighter than it is at foyle. foyle is just longer but you can hit it wild and get away with it.

A real shame whether it happens at a local muni or top memebers club. Just isn't right and yet again points towards the increase in feral behaviour by todays kids. I can see that situation only getting worse. I know every generation has their "it wasn't like it in my day" moments but I do believe with the current apathy in the criminal justice system, kids realise they can get away with almost anything and not be punished. Maybe I'm just old, tired and cynical

Well Cian you really know how to make friends....not. :(

Well I'm sorry but I did say before it's not everything in Strabane there are exceptions I know some quality people from the area, but unfortunately it's overall reputation speaks for itself. Low employment rates, high crime rates, it's also the worst area in NI for recycling (Strabane was a casestudy for my geography)
