My course-like most inland city courses- has OB on many many holes.
My old club was 3 championship courses with hardly any OB but rough that would frighten the French!
I agree is hard to suggest course management to a 'sprayer' but a suggestion might plant a seed he could use when he's fed up always running up an 8+ on these holes.
P.s I would play it up the right with a draw......in my head
