Course Conditions - How everyones course looking

Poor, sod that, terrible. Playing off tee mats on every hole, having to use multi mats for every other shot, except putting. The greens were tined in September and still haven't recovered. 1 winter green so far, but more are around the corner. They keep telling me that our greens will be perfect in May, but I don't pay this sort of money for 5 months of quality golf......

I don't actually know what mines like, not played it since the 1st October, and havn't played golf anywhere since the 17th Oct !!!! (Clubs still drying out in the shed :-) )

Hope to get out on Sunday for a wee round though as this not playing malarky is not good !!!

Great condition, closed untill 11am yesterday but we played straight after and apart from some minor wet patches on a couple of fairways it had taken the deluge really well, green fairways, fantastic tee's and greens.

Casltereagh Hills is my home club, but its in a state, but nothing worse than expected with that rain.

so ill just give golf a miss this morning and head down to Kirkistown Links this afternoon for a round with the ass.pro.

nothing better than lovely greens and firm fairways and silky sand that links golf provides eh? nearly worth the membership to get 12 months golf in, maybe some yr ill remember that at renewal time!

We're in a reasonable state at the moment. The recent rain has stopped the fairways running like High Summer and the greens will hold even a long iron being thrown in at them. Tee boxes are a bit shoddy but I've played on worse. Greens are OK, a bit variable in pace but reasonable. The trees are making some of the holes a spectacular view from tees.

Ours is in great nick apart from the autumn leaves. Gonna be very stressful in the competition tomorrow if you're just off the fairway near any trees! Winter rules in place so tried my new 3 wood off the deck a few times today and feeling it will be a good winter weapon!! Today felt more like winter golf and I love it - pins to be attacked and very little run which suits me as I hit it high :-)

Pretty good considering the rain, greens are coming back after being tuned, fairways are getting a small bounce but rough is soaking wet. Trolleys are leaving a terrible mess.

Nairn went on to the winter course this week so some mats and play from the side of the fairway inside the white posts. Full greens still, no hollow tine this year just spiked but running ok.

Not sure about Tain not played there in a few weeks, but playing there tomorrow so will soon find out.

It's been fantastic weather wise the last week or so, short sleeve shirts today. might get frost overnight as the sky is clear.:(

Not too bad, been wet all week and the trolley ban came out on Thursday. We have a few tee matts but the greens are still fast and true and fairways good. A bit of work being done but nothing too major.

Course is OK at the moment. No winter tees or greens (we rarely ever have winter greens and only a few tees are moved to mats). The fairways are fine though could do with winter rules as the ball was picking up mud today. The greens are OK, still have some pace but worryingly showing some bare patches on a few. Some of our tee boxes could do with flattening out but they have always been like that. Overall, not bad but I am concerned that the greens may need to some serious work if they are going to be up to standard next season.

My place is looking fantastic, i really cant grumble, the greens are as true and fast as ever, fairways are decent, rough nicely cut down, no temps, winter tees are ok, but there are a couple of holes shut for slight remodelling of the greenside bunkers.

Mmm, clovelly was looking pretty good, fairways and rough etc was all looking good earlier this week, bit soft but only to be expected.

The greens have been hollow tinned again and over seeded, but the today we've had our first snow fall, so I guess that's it for this year..

Cheers
Andy

Turned up this morning to a very slight frost (greens were fine) within 20 mins it had practically all disappeared and were left to play in glorious sunshine all morning.
Down out 18th green and 1st fairway

Not played for a few weeks so was not sure what I was in for.

Fairways were good, greens were a good pace but a little bobbly. So overall it was a pleasant game today (other than playing like a numptie)

considering we have had two nights of consistent deluge the course if playing well, still some damage on show from the drought but apart from the first tee I didn't find any soggy/wet patches anywhere on the course

Have had a lot of rain, but course has stood up to it pretty well. Greens were very slow today, but should speed over the next few days weather permitting. We are on yellow tees, but no mats or temps.

Our greens have started to get bigger. Couple of months ago blue lines started appearing on some greens about 3 or 4 feet off the putting surface. It seems that we are increasing the green sizes slightly so we can have more pin positions. Only problem is most of our greens are raised and the new parts are on big slopes. In the summer when the greens are quick I can see more balls rolling off with less fringe to hold the ball up. Think the greens will look bigger but play smaller.:(
