Course Condition

Ours was closed again today, Stableford comp to be rearranged. Local newspaper website says 100 MM of rain due between now and Tuesday/Wednesday so next weekend is already doubtful unless that rain is followed by mild weather and strong winds to help dry the course... Forecast suggests not :(

Played Parkstone today, course was in excellent condition considering how much rain there has been down here the last few days. Greens were a little slow but running very true. Big loss for them losing their greenkeeper, he has absolutely transformed the place in the last 3 or 4 years.

More impressed with Parkstone every time I play it. considering the rain, the majority of playing areas were very good and didn't see a drop of rain in the bunkers. The new bunkers have been constructed really well and the changes on 13 and work-in-progress 14 look superb. After going 3 down after 3 and still 3 down after 11, we fought back to level after 15 - then after rolling pat the flag on 16, I 3-stabbed from through the back - we got even again on 17 but were put to the sword on 17a and 18! Great fun day on one of my favourite courses

Ours is a little soggy at the moment but the greens are in great nick! Played Carden Parks Nicklaus a couple of weeks back and considering it was late october it was in sublime condition. This is my first real year of winter golf and i cant believe how good some of the parks ive played have been!

Absolutely brilliant condition atm. Lots of work going on throughout winter, building new tees, moving and remodelling bunkers etc, but the courses themselves are top drawer.

So lucky to be built on a chalk belt
