Well what can be said about Friday, where oh where did the sunshine go!
Thanks to Phil and Phil for the morning round at Normanby Hall, its the first time i've played in a freezing hare from the North Sea for years.
The course was in good condition apart from trying to find a level lie on the tee.
Onto cottingham hoping that the sun would break through in the afternoon, nah no buddy chance.
Good to meet Lump,(boy can he thump a ball when he makes contact)
Wildrover (another one who can whack the ball and of course ex Navy)
HRC99 who played with Bob and Whereditgo. ;)
Excellent play from Teegirl boy can she putt. :)
I did enjoy the game and Jan came up with a new name for the duffed shots a Morgan Spice.
It was a pleasant walk even when we were playing up the 18th in the dark.
Thanks again to all who participated and we shall meet again. :D

Thanks for arranging it Chris.
Thanks also to Henry and Phil for their company on a nice course with some gorgeous holes and a nice autmnal afternoon. Shame I played rubbish but hopefully helped Phil with his driving and putting. (We'll find out later).
And honest, I wasn't worried one bit when I thought I had lost Jans' car keys 90 miles from home.
Thanks again everyone and it's always nice meeting new faces.

Superb day and great company :)

hopefully helped Phil with his driving and putting. (We'll find out later).

Happy to report that I found 12 of 14 fairways and 27 putts today thanks Bob :) Still going a little low, I'm thinking of maybe looking for a 10.5 deg. driver on golf bidder as an experiment!

Sadly I started triple, double, triple then had a 9 on the par 4 10th and easiest hole on the course :(

Next meet we need to work on bunker play!!!! lol

Lots of interest down the club for my new toy btw!

Edit: Only 1 of the missed fairways was with the driver

Glad you all had a great day fella's, - if you all enjoyed Cottingham, you will absolutely love Brough when we get chance to organise something else around here, perhaps next summer, when everything is top notch and our new green-keeper has waved his wand over the place.

Many thanks to Chris (always good to meet another ex matelot) for organising the day. Had a very pleasurable round with Chris, Jan and James on a very nice course. Shame about the weather but at least we weren't getting wet.

Shot of the day has to go to Chris's shot from the pond to just short of the green on a short par 4. Jan almost got a picture but he was too quick. :D
