I run the report after every single Qualfiying competition - it takes two secs , have a quick look and then carry out any changes if needed
I don't know who said it but CONGU recommends monthly. I will have words with them.
A player can easily clock up a dozen or more consecutive 0.1s playing in the weekly medal alone, without it coming to the attention of the committee. By which time nearly half the season has gone.

Given that the process specifically includes consecutive scores from last year, deliberately excluding scores that qualify seems particularly perverse. If I were an involved player I'd be making loud noises to my county and EG.Thanks guys
I managed to speak to the County guy today, who was at our club for the County Championship, his advice was to run with a start date just after the annual review.
Aren't you required to?I just got a print off of the whole year 4/2016 to current and there are (relatively) so few on there I have decided that we should just review them all.
My question is were they reviewed and dealt with and if they have been reviewed and the necessary action taken then you can ignore the report. What has been noticed is that players that have been reviewed do not disappear from this list.
Without personal being involved in the Annual review I have no idea which ones have already been reviewed as a part of that.
Are you confusing the Annual Review (AR) and the Continuous Handicap Review (CHR), which should be run on a monthly during the playing season?
This report runs on a rolling basis and does not re-set at the end of a calendar year.
Annual Review: The Annual Review is a process whereby the Handicap Committee is required to consider the playing performance of all Members over the preceding year in relation to their current handicap and make any adjustment considered appropriate.
Continuous Handicap Review: A computer-generated report which flags players with 7 consecutive 0.1 handicap increases. Handicap Committees are recommended to review the performance of such players giving due consideration to applying a handicap increase.
We have had three members quit last or this year and like any voluntary position in a club members cannot always attend. As previously said my responsibility on the committee has been Rules and Competitions. It is only since finishing a year long task of a complete review of all the clubs Rules, Procedures and Rules for competitions including completely re-writing the Club's handbook that I have been taking a more active part in handicap reviews in preparedness for the committee chairman quitting at the end of his 3 year stint.
Hope you mange to get the odd 9 holes in.
YesIs this the case for cat 1 golfers also ?
