Just watching tiger hit a good shot on the 8th to leave an eagle putt and see him miss it, but then 5 minutes later they show another putt on the same hole and he holes it for eagle, so i dont understand what happened. can anyone explain???

Typical American coverage.....BUT what about that shot on the 9th........incredible!!!!

I think it may have been a putt from a previous hole that he bogeyed.

As for that shot on the 9th - Shot of the Championship already I think

He hit a bad drive and then a big swinging hook to the green. Most of us can hit a bad drive and a swinging hook any day of the week ;)

Just not to order in front of the World on your first game back after a "break" - and at Augusta! :D

...and I see the ****-fest has already started, both on here and in the interminable BBC coverage.

Will Torrance keep it in under the kilt long enough to avoid being arrested?

As Allis pointed out, it wasn't a technically difficult shot, it just had a good result. If they thought about showing everyone else, I'm sure we'd see plenty of other 'amazing' shots...

Only just started watching after seeing Fulham. What did he do on 9

Me too homer, fulham just keep doing me proud at the moment. Who'd have thought we'd make the semi final?

Tiger's shot on 9 was awesome, low hook round the trees and knocked in for birdie.

Like him or loathe him, you have to admit he's a genius with a golf club.

As for what they were doing with the 2 putts, I have no idea?

The best player in the world hit an "amazing" shot no matter what you think ;)

Note to self, musn't praise Tiger on forum ;)

I agree 100% about the BBC!!!
And with the exception of ad breaks SKY's golf coverage shows just how poor the BBC's is now.

Sam 'amazing' Torrence is absolute rubbish at commentary, Kenny Brown is the only one out of them all that i'd pay to listen to. Can't believe SKY haven't tried to poach him back!!!

I like Ken's out on the course bit. The bit he did about chipping or putting just off the green when he was down rubbing the grass was class. Love knowing that kind of detail and helps to appreciate how difficult some of the shots that look easy on TV really are.

Just in the BBC's defence it's my understanding that the pictures are from US TV. BBC simply do their own sound over the top etc. If US TV are showing Tiger and BBC are talking about Westwood/Poulter it just wouldn't work would it ?

For me, the BBC's coverage of the Open, where they do the lot is second to none (including Sky).
