Composite best 18 GB&I golf holes in this months magazine

i'm struggling to think of an opening hole that would stand out TBH. most great courses i've played have all had a relatively straight forward easyish hole to start with.

no problem picking 2nd onwards
 
You're all wrong about the 1st hole. Saunton, St Enodoc, Burnham.....all great holes but the experience of standing on the !st tee at TOC is unbeatable.

No vote for Calamity Corner at Portrush yet? 14th ... and the 9th at County Down?
Calamity is now the 16th, the most brutal par 3 I have ever played.

Did edit my previous and stuck the 9th at county down in, had to look at my pics to remember the hole numbers.
