Do these "comps" requirements include comps at other clubs/courses, or are they only at your home club?
I’m with you seems ridiculous to impose such a thing. Especially as many people have lives outside of golf clubs. That's ridiculously high. I didn't even play 10 comps all last year - some weekends it just doesn't work out, I'm playing Saturday, comp is only on Sunday, etc. My club just requires 8 competitions played in the last 12 months which is fine.
All comps, not just at your home club.Do these "comps" requirements include comps at other clubs/courses, or are they only at your home club?
Don’t have any further details but would assume it’s the latter. Wouldn’t make much difference to most, I’d imagine.Do these "comps" requirements include comps at other clubs/courses, or are they only at your home club?
How do matchplay result
Mine are home clubs comp, nothing external.Do these "comps" requirements include comps at other clubs/courses, or are they only at your home club?
Never understood this phrase. I would have thought a lead balloon would have gone down really well. Going up would be a problem!I would see such a proposal going down like a lead balloon where I play.
In my opinion it is one of those well known phrases used to show the opposite of what it is wanted or expected.Never understood this phrase. I would have thought a lead balloon would have gone down really well. Going up would be a problem!
Why post the comment then if you’re not going to actually say what you view is. Just a click bait post for attention ?I think my personal view would be unpopular and would cause an argument so I'll keep it to myself
Everyone is entitled to their own view.I think my personal view would be unpopular and would cause an argument so I'll keep it to myself
Because I'm not going to be responsible for yet another argument on here. Why post the comment then if you’re not going to actually say what you view is. Just a click bait post for attention ?
Just give your view and create discussion that’s what we’re all here for.
Isn’t this the issue? Btw the original post was about clubs internal comps, not opens, so there were no prizes at stake just the “bragging rights”Playing for expensive prizes
Then there was zero point posting the comment in the first place and has added nothing to the discussion. If that’s how you feel then simply not posting anything rather than what you did makes more senseBecause I'm not going to be responsible for yet another argument on here.
I'm sure there are some people on here who know my opinion and maybe share it and if they want to discuss it, fair enough.
Not really.Like I said Click Bait!
