Major comp for me today and decided to chance it with a dodgy elbow.

Played terrible.

First time over a ton in a long time.

Nine qualifiers prior to hurting the elbow resulted in two cuts, 6 buffers and one 0.1.

Three qualifiers since it went and all have been 0.1's.:angry:

Got a nasty pull hook at the minute that I can't seem to fix, thankfully got a lesson Tuesday that will sort it.

30 points today with 4 N/R's and about 4 1 point holes.

Bad round today up .1 , but only had 2 hours sleep as I was doing a 8pm to 8am walk for life in aid of cancer research . So good excuse for a bad round

Greensomes yesterday starting furthest point away from the clubhouse! Started with a 6 on an easyish par 4! Then a 9 on the long par 4! It was a complete car wreck of a hole started by me putting drive low and left into the ditch behind the trees! Pulled it together quite well from there and completed the last nine 3 under. Finished with net 74. Winners had 70, so gutted at the 9 as would have put us into contention! Always next week!

Played in our monthly strokeplay comp and shot the worst round of my life. Had a 10 (TEN!) on one hole. Can't remember the last time I got a 10... and prompty followed it up with a 12 (TWELVE!!!) on the very next hole. Completely and utterly destroyed me. I hate golf sometimes.

Hi friends- first time caller.

Really bad round today. Drove the ball really well but I had zero focus on my swing as I had other difficult things on my mind. Net 79 which even included a 2. Think I had 3 or 4 doubles, a triple and a 9 on our par 5. Honking.

Up to 14 but that 13.4 handicap was like a monkey on my back- constantly fighting my scorecard to make sure I hit buffer.

Now with that gone, I can relax as it's a long way to 15 from here.

Season goal- back down to 13.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread to mark my ascendance from 8 to 12 in less than three years, up to 11.5 today.

First tee shot faded OB, next was such a poor swing that it didn't clear the ditch about 125 from the tee, scored a quadruple bogey.

On the third having just run over the green and into the fringe, I then four putted. Putting is about the only part of my game that has stayed half decent over the last two and a half years....

90 gross for a net 79, 7 over par.

That's it for me for comps this year unless there's a serious improvement in my game.

114 today in the Medal at Walmley, started off with a great 3w down the first and from there it was pants

My excuse is that I've been playing far too much golf lately - 6 rounds in the last 8 days.

Monthly Medal and had my worst front 9 ever - 57 blows, including a stonker of a drive on our par 4 5th, followed by a pitching wedge shank into the woods and another 7 strokes.

Recovered on the back 9 with 42 to just squeeze under a ton.

Funny old game today at Drumpellier GC open, I hit the ball quite well but just couldn't score.
I had some really weird bounces and even lost a ball in the middle of the fairway. Then some weird breaks on the greens that looked like straight putts .
So sadly it's another point 1.

Captain's Day, fourball betterball with my good lady. I don't think I was on the card more than five times. Shanks and bunkers are destroying my game right now. Lesson booked for Wednesday...... I hate this stupid game, four weeks ago I was playing like a god.
