I actually hit the ball ok last week in the main, I just couldn't chip or putt, today was the polar opposite

31 pts for me yesterday, which isn't even that rubbish a score, especially since it was raining and quite windy. It was just so frustrating, because my long game was actually okay-ish. But I seemed to finish every single hole either chip, chip, putt, putt or chip, putt, putt, putt. Just could not get the speed of the greens at all and my chips either stayed way too short or I bladed them to who knows where. And the worst is that I spent a lot of time practicing my putting and my short game last week and it was working nicely, so I went into the comp some confidence into that part of my game. Driving was pretty mediocre as well. Acutally, it is really a miracle that I got more than 30 pts that way, because it felt as if nothing was really working out.

Played in the Sunday stableford yesterday, played ok until 9th then the wheels fell off big style. went in a bunker on every hole after that:rofl: Had 18 points standing on the 9th tee
ended up with 29 and a nice fat 0.1

Great day on Saturday (Captains Day 34pts) but putts didn't drop on another day if they had would have won by a mile.
But Sundays medal....after a 6 on the first, par four and a 9 (nine) on the second, par three, it went into a bit of a decline, coming in with 105, off a 14 H/C and dead last. One bloke said he'd come in with 71 (net) with a nine on his card. I said I''d had three of them!!!!!
