Was originally interested in the F6 but after looking in to it I see the Fly Z seems to be pretty highly rated in any online reviews I have read or any videos I have watched on Youtube

Anyone currently gaming one at the moment?

I have the Callaway X2Hot at the moment which I do quite enjoy but looking to possibly upgrade without having to pay the extortionate prices for the 2016 models

Just wanted to pick up a few opinions on it as it doesn't seem that easy to go and demo the FlyZ anyone as American Golf which is my closest retails store (80 miles away) doesn't seem to stock the FlyZ model anymore

Massive footprint behind the ball which can inspire confidence. Mygolfspy did a scientific analysis of current drivers last year and the G30 and FlyZ came out with the best comprise between forgiveness and low spin. I'd invest if you can see one at a decent price.

Love mine set in 10.5d setting! I know where Baz is coming from with the shaft, I did prefer the cobra amp cell shaft for the kick point. If I knew there was a free upgrade for the aldila blue shaft which I have in my hybrids I would of put that in.

At last I got my FLY Z last week and with no range or practice hits I had it on the course for the first time yesterday. My driver tee-shots have only been mediocre recently (by my standards) so was looking forward to trying it out

Used it 14 times
12 fairways hit & 2 in the first cut which is a good day at the office
Dispersion was tighter than previous Callaway driver (7yrs old)
Length, definitely more yards and while no longest drive PB on its first day out I saw enough to tell me I’m getting more distance with it and me looking at fairway markers thinking “I’m normally back there”)
At least half my drives were at the top end of where I’d previously get to (I’m judging it as a 20 yards increase so far but that’ll need more time/hits to gauge properly but as a short hitter this’ll be brilliant if I can keep it going)
Still able to slice it (2 in first cut) but not as wide as previous driver (I’ve got mine set to draw)
Definitely increased forgiveness for off centre hit (looking at the strike marks on the face)

Need some range time to play with the settings etc and find best for me but I’d say for the price it’s going for now it’s a freakin steal and well worth a punt if your current driver is lacking in some of technology advances in the last 5 years

My 15 year old son was fitted for one of these before Christmas, with an Aldila Blue stiff shaft (free upgrade from the stock shaft). In testing he was hitting between 20 and 40 yards further than the G30 and M1 he tested against. Haven't purchased it for him yet though.....

Brand new fly z stock will only get scarcer now the f6 is on its way and no point paying the extra £100 for an F6 while Fly Z's are still available

The only diff I can see is the CG weight can be set in two positions on an F6 where its just one on the Fly Z, other than that pretty much the same

Thanks for all the response guys. Cheapest I can find them is £150 at the moment.

Still having a think about it but from all the positive stuff being said it is very tempting

Lovely head, pants stock shaft.

Are you buying new or used? The one I tried was the stock vlct stock stiff.

Really?

I've got a Fly Z + just now and quite like the standard shaft it came with, I've not got the fastest swing in town though or tried it with any others.

Pretty good driver all round, very long when you catch it well, shame that's not too often when I'm the plum holding the end of it!!
