Clubs for a Competition

Can you play with less than 14 clubs in an open comp, my daughter damaged her wrist ligaments a while ago & can't play with her regular irons & woods without it hurting still, we found a ladies 7 iron & took it out today with a putter, she bogeyed 8 of the 9 holes & double bogeyed the 9th for a 45, few more putts went her way could have been a 39/40. She some how did a chip & run from a greenside bunker with the iron. She was quiet happy to play like this I know the max clubs is 14, but is their a minimum

Any number you like - 14 or below.

thanks rosecott, just wanted to check there wasn't a rule out there so she doesn't get DQ'd or penalty shots

Minimum is one. Once did it for a laugh on a short par 3. Putters only. Made it in 10.

yea we normall have like 4 irons holes
where you have to play the whole hole with just a 4 iron
adds a bit fun to it
