A site should be simple, clear and informative. It does not need to be flash and designed by Apple. Clean and clear does the job.
Our club site would put people off from joining. It is the first thing most potential new members look at and if you can't get that right then you are in trouble. When organising golf trips, put together by myself rather than a company, I go off the websites first of all. Unless someone has given me a blinding recommendation, if the website is poor then I scratch it off the list. Clubs need to get wise to how important they are for them.
